Leadership:  The Heart of It All

We are leaders in state government and reshaping Oklahoma ’s public management future. 

As “Emissaries of Public Management,” we celebrate the past.  As present and future leaders, we celebrate Leadership: The Heart of It All. The Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Managers is proud to represent government employees statewide in a very professional manner.  We are starting this 19^th year of success representing Oklahoma well, both publicly and professionally.  Leading by example, our goals are to facilitate change, enhance delivery, encourage and celebrate success.

OSCPM is the greatest organization comprised of many diverse and multi-talented leaders from all state agencies, with different professions, educational knowledge and skills. As graduates, candidates and associates, we have attained exceptional skills through the Certified Public Managers Program. As leaders in the great state of Oklahoma , we receive national recognition from our peers for career, organizational and community services is a treasured honor.    

We are looking ahead to a great year with plans for many activities to enhance our leaders. We have a great L3 (Leadership, Lunch and Learn) Series of continuing education. This venue is an eagerly anticipated quarterly event held during lunch as a learning, fellowship, and networking opportunity. The venue is set for presenters from our membership and presenters outside of the membership with expertise on various topics. Our topics range from improving public services to employee morale, just to name a few.

We are looking forward to partnering at the MS Walk, and Quality Oklahoma Team Day. Earlier this year, we staffed the telephones for the OETA Telethon.   We are planning a great summer reunion with our leaders and their families.  Our premier annual education conference, hosted every September, continues to receive rave reviews and this year’s goal is to be the “Heart of It All.”  Be sure to make plans for the 19^th Annual Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Managers Conference, which will be held at the Marriott Hotel- NCED in Norman , Oklahoma .

Our organization was established with a solid foundation, our legacy is sure, and now it is up to us to carry on the leadership from the past leaders that have paved the way for us.  Join us as we achieve our goals and as we move forward in Leadership: The Heart of It All.
